Daniel Axelrod, at twenty-seven, is already an award winning journalist. A reporter on Scranton Times-Journal, Dan has won New York, Massachusetts, and now Pennsylvania Journalism Association awards. He is also ab experienced actor and author of three books of poems. He has designed a performance and master class that will inspire your students to a greater understanding of the art of poetry and creative writing, and is, of course, available to discuss journalism issues and writing as a career. 

As early as age nine, he was already teaching workshops in creative writing at libraries and schools. Now master of a commanding style, he will visit as poet-in-the-school to perform and teach workshops for audiences of all ages. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and History with honors from SUNY Cortland College and received his Masters degree from Syracuse University's prestigious Newhouse School of Journalism.
